Here Comes the snow!

So it is supposed to start snowing today, and continue snowing all week. We are even under a lake effect snow advisory tonight and tomorrow. I think they are calling for like 6-12 inches by tomorrow. Who knows though, and who knows how much we will have for sure by the end of the week. Thats northern Indiana weather for you. Wonderful lake effect snow from Lake Michigan. It's gotten cold and windy, or as Laurie would say. . . blowy. Winter is upon us. Not only are we probably going to have white Christmas, but it looks like we are going to have a white Thanksgiving too.

I'm very excited about Thanksgiving because I really am looking forward to cooking the meal this year. I think I'm still going to let dad be in charge of the turkey, but everything else I really want to tackle for the most part on my own. I've got some really yummy recipes to try. It will be nice to have Thanksgiving just my parents, brother, and I, but in some ways I almost wish we were having company, so I had a bigger crowd to cook all this food for! LOL But I'm still happy to cook it just for my family.

We're also celebrating my brother's birthday on Thanksgiving. Happy Birthday Bro!! :o) His birthday is really on Wednesday the 23rd, but he has other plans, so we'll just celebrate as a family on Thanksgiving. I'm bummed because I ordered him some things for his birthday with plenty of time to get them here, and they were supposed to be in stock, but only one of them just got here yesterday, and the 2nd just shipped out yesterday, so it may not get here in time. At least he'll have one of them. I can't say what they are, or where they are from since he reads this blog too much. LOL

Well in case I don't update before Thanksgiving I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with family and friends, and enjoy all the yummy food! :o)

We actually have some snow now too - it was really strange - the other day I was out running in shorts and that same evening we had our first snow. It was crazy! (Not that it was super warm to be running in shorts but still!) I like having the little bit of snow that we have now because at least the ugly brown grass is all covered up and everything looks pretty again! - Plus it means thatb Christmas is coming!!!! YAY!

How cool you have snow! :o) I love it too cause it's pretty, although ours has all melted now, and it's just been raining. Although I do think I heard them mentioning on the radio that we may get some more here soon. It definately is the season! :o)
