Not Much Going On

I know I haven't posted in like a week. Just has not been all that much going on. Let's do I have any news to report? Ummm . . . well I just had dinner with my friend Jacee last night, as she is moving away in a couple of weeks to Arizona with her boyfriend. I will miss our get togethers and bowling nights. :o( I am happy for her though because I think it will be a great experience for her. Lets see, what else is going on? My weekend will be nothing exciting since I have to work on Saturday, but I do have Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off for the 4th of July holiday. No big plans for the 4th. I will probably go out to my parents for a cook out or something, and then most likely shoot off fireworks. The following weekend there is a lot going on. It's my mom's 60th birthday on Friday the 7th, then on Saturday we are having a big classic car show at the church to raise money. That should be a lot of fun. Then on Sunday I found out that The Biggest Loser is doing live casting calls in Chicago. They said they will see the first 800 people, so I'm going to see if I can get there, and get there early. If I don't make it there or am one of the first 800 then of course I will go back to the first plan of mailing in my application and video. So thats the world of Amanda right now. Bad Luck Strikes Again!

So I haven't posted in a few days, so let me tell you what has happened since then. Lets see . . . well, I got hit by a car. That was a lot of fun. A new experience for me. Now I'm not talking that I was in a car and my car got hit by a car, but I was physically walking, and got hit by a car. Luckily they really were not going all that fast, as they were just coming through a parking lot. I was a bit sore for a couple days afterward, but I'm doing much better now. I have some lovely bruises though, with a bit of road rash. I think this just goes to show how good my luck has been lately though. Lets see . . car accident, car gets broken into, and getting hit by a car. I'm kinda thinking maybe I should stay away from cars for a while. What do you think? The way I look at it though, is that now that I have gotten all this bad luck out of the way at once, I should be set for a few years, and nothing more should happen right?! LOL Well hope everyone else's luck is going better then mine. Ta ta for now!

New Photo Albums

Well, this past weekend did not go at all as it was supposed to. Saturday the band I'm in (Michiana Concert Band) was supposed to do a concert at the Strawberry Festival. However on Saturday morning we woke up to rain, so it was canceled since it was an outdoors concert. My friend Susan is in the band as well, and since we had nothing to do for the day then we got up and went to a late breakfast. Her husband, Steve and daughter, Emily came as well. After we got done eating, we probably just sat in the resteraunt for like another hour talking. By then it actually stopped rainy and got very nice out. So we decided to go to the zoo. The zoo in South Bend, is the Potawatami Zoo. We had a lot of fun, and you can check out my new photo album to left to see the pictures. Then Sunday the same 4 of us had plans to go into Chicago and see Shed's Aquarium. We were all really looking forward to it. However later Saturday night Steve had started to not feel well, and still was not feeling well on Sunday, and we did not want to go without him of course, so we didn't go. It was okay though, we'll just go another time. So as you can see nothing went as it was supposed to, but we still really had a pretty good weekend all in all.

Now I mentioned there is the new album for pictures from the zoo. There is also a new album entitled "Hammy". Check out and see the new addition to my critters. :o) Hammy is a very cute, funny, playful, and crazy/hyper ferret. I named him Hammy after the funny, hyper squirl from the movie "Over the Hedge". He's cute, check it out! :o)

The Biggest Loser

I'm so excited because last night NBC just announced they are now looking for people for Season 4 of "The Biggest Loser"! Man would I love to be on the show. I mean you get to have fun doing a T.V. show, meeting new people, the possibility of winning a LOT of money, AND you lose weight! I mean you certainly can't beat that. You have to do a 5 minute video application for them to just show them you, your typical day, and stuff for them to get to know you. Then there is this big paper application to fill out as well. Everything has to be mailed by August 5th, but I'm going to do it all ASAP! Early bird gets the worm right? LOL We'll see though. I think I would be an awesome candidate for the show. I'll keep you all posted. Who knows maybe you will see me on the show in the future!! :o)

Bad Luck

I have so much bad luck and I have no idea why. Last night my car got broken into. I discovered this morning when I went to go to work. I have no idea how they got in because I locked all the doors. They obviously got in through the passenger side door because it was unlocked, but I don't know how they managed to unlock it. Must have used some kind of tool. Anyways, they completely broke the front middel dash console and stol me stereo system. Plus here is the stupid thing, they took the knobs that control like the air conditiong and heat and stuff. How dumb is that! I was only able to find one of the knobs. So this morning I got to work late because I had to deal with my insurance company, call the police to file a report, and go to the apartment complex offices to let them know what happend. What really ticked me off even further is that my apartment complex didn't even seem to care. I let the lady know what happened, and she just looked at me, and in kind of a sarcastic or "I don't care" tone asked me what my apartment number is. Then just said "well we'll have security drive by that area more often". Lot of good that does me now! They should be driving by it in the first place. I don't think I have once seen that security car drive down my street in the complex. All in all it has just been a bad day, and I don't know why my luck is so bad!! Do you? Anyways, I hope you all have better days then I have been having.
