French Horn Show

So this past weekend I have been out of town doing a French horn show for work. We left on Thursday and got back Sunday night. It was in Steven's Point, WI. Not the most exciting place in the world, but at least I got to get away from the office part of work for a few days and do something else. Besides I still got paid a nice rate for it, and the company pays for all the expenses, so can't really complain. Brendan and I were the only 2 from work going, and we had a good time. We did not have a hotel reservation for Thursday night, but only for Friday and Saturday night cause the hotel we were staying at was all full for Thursday, so we decided we would just go Thursday and find a place when we got there. Well when we got into Steven's Point Thursday night we stopped at the Baymont hotel and Suites cause it looked nice. Turns out they only had one room free, but it was a 2 room apartment!! LOL Well we took it, especially since it was only $110.00 for the night, and since we could still have our own separate rooms. Well we walked into this room, and our jaws just hit the floor. This place was SAWEEEET!! I mean it had the living room, dining area, a full kitchen, etc. I mean this kitchen was bigger then what was ever in my apartment or house! LOL We decided to see if it was available the rest of the time we were there and cancel our other reservations, especially since it would end up being cheaper anyways since our other 2 regular rooms at the other hotel were like $68.00 each. Well we got this apartment room for that following Friday night too, but then it was booked for Saturday night, so they still gave us a 2 room suite for Saturday night! It was still way cooler then what we would have had and cheaper!
Anyways, the horn show itself was kind of a drag. It was not a big show, and there were not a whole lot of people. We did not sell any of the French horns we took, but at least sold some accessories. We did find some potential products to carry though, so it still turned out to be a productive and worth while trip/show.
So now it's back to the regular grind of things in the office and on the phones. It hasn't been too exciting since being back. Oh well. Anyways I hope everyone else had a good weekend!

A Little Cowgirl Turns 6

This Saturday was Emily's 6th Birthday party. That is my friend Susan and Steve's daughter. You all have heard me talk about her before. She had quite the birthday party too. It was a horse themed party, and I had no idea you could get so much horse themed party supplies. We had matching party plates, napkins, party hats, table decorations, table cloth, balloons, and invitations. Then we had a barn/ranch birthday cake, and we put little horse figurines around on it. Emily was dressed up in a cute new cowgirl outfit that Susan had gone out and got for her. She had these adorable pink cowgirl boots on. Anyways it was quite the party. Very chaotic with all the kids that were there. Emily got a butt load of presents that took up most of the party time to get through them all! The kids got to play pin the tail on the horse, which of course was very fun to watch because some of the kids were waaaaaaay off in where they put the tail. They also got to break a horse piniata. That horse took a long time to break, and in the end, ended up needing a little assistance. LOL Man, when that thing broke, you would have thought it was leaking money with the way those kids were diving after it all, rather then leaking candy! The party was a lot of fun though, and the kids had a lot of fun, so it went really well. It was quite the extravaganza. I have added an album to the left of pictures from the party. They are not the greatest since I took them with the camera on my cell phone since I forgot my camera. There are some pretty funny ones of me from when I was having some fun with the balloons. Check em out. Hope ya'll had a good weekend as well! :o)

New Car is on the Road!!!!!

My new car is finally on the road!!! I am so excited. I finally got to drive it today. It was soooooooooooooo sweet!! I've never had a car so new, and that drives so smoothe!! It even still has that new car smell to it even though it is a 2004. I think that is just because it really has not been driven all that much since it used to be a rental car. Plus it is just so clean on the inside! Last night I got my insurance changed and moved over to this car. That was not fun since my rates went up for two reasons; one, it's a new car and then two, I got better coverage on it. Today I am getting off work early so that I can go over the the License branch and changer over my plates. That will be fun.

I was so hacked off this morning though. I went to physical therapy before work. I was only in there for like an hour or little longer. I came out, and some idiot banged their door against mine!! I'm like my first day driving my new car, and already some stupid person bangs their car door against mine!!. It didn't put a dent in it, but it did take off a tiny chip of paint. I was sooo mad. I'll have to try and touch that up. I mean it's not like I was parked close to one of the lines or anything like that either. I was perfectly in the middle. Oh well. It is still a sharp looking car. I will take pictures of it later and post them on the site when I have a chance.

That is my big exciting news that I wanted to share with everyone, so I will let you all get back to whatever you were doing. :o)

My Car is all Gone

Well tonight I sold my car. It was a good thing though because I can put that money towards my new car. My brother put an add on this website based out of Chicago. He just put it on there Friday, and I can't believe how many people I had e-mail me about it. This guy came from Chicago to buy it too. I probably got 40 e-mails inquiring about it. It just boggled my mind. Hey it's cool though, sold my car quick, and I got what I wanted for it.

Hopefully within the next couple of days I will be able to start driving my new car. Until then I will have to drive the big ole van of my dad's. That's always fun!

Well thats all for now. Just wanted to spread my good news of selling my car.

A Weekend Off!

Wow, so I actually have this coming weekend off. I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself. I can't remember the last time I had a full weekend off. I've either been scheduled to work, or have had to put in some overtime. Boy it will be nice to sleep in!

So the mall had a booth in it that was selling calendars over Christmas, and they still had it up through last weekend. Last Sunday was their last day, so they were selling them all for 75% off. I picked up a calendar for work. It's a Rat calendar. It's way too cute!!! I look at it, and it makes me miss my rats that are still back in Montana. Laurie has had to become their adopted mom. I keep a picture of them on my desk at work though. They are just too cute. I must say I've had a lot of people comment on my rat calendar since I've put it up. LOL People just don't realize what awesome pets they make! I think it's the tail. People can't get past the tail. LOL Let me tell you though, they are extremely smart, and very sociable. They say that besides dogs and cats, they are one of the most sociable and lovable pets. They love people, and love to be held. They don't bite, which is a common misbelief people have about them, at least they don't unless they smell food on your fingers, and even then it's just a nibble that doesn't hurt. Not like hamsters that really bite and draw blood! Anyways, more people should give them a try! I know you'd love them just as much as I do!

So that is about all. I know, it's nothing really exciting. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
